Dürr has been given the green light to offer six of its robots in Japan. On October 4, 2013, it was awarded the TIIS certificate, providing worldwide explosion protection certification for four painting and two handling robots.
Dürr has opened a modern technology center for painting technology in Japan. At the Dürr Technology Center in Tokyo-Funabashi, Japanese carmakers will be able to evaluate new Dürr products and carry out painting tests.
